Writing Jobs on Reddit: 17 Subreddits for Writers

Writing jobs on reddit

Are you looking for new and exciting freelance writing opportunities? It is February! Have you thought of searching for writing jobs on Reddit?

My goal for 2021 is to earn more income and scale my freelance writing business.

And that means I'm also on the hunt for new and exciting writing opportunities. Reddit is one of the places I explore for writing jobs.

Reddit is an interest-based website with an app where you can find communities of your interest.

From communities for freelancers, online workers, entrepreneurs, digital marketers, the curious to anything you can imagine.

Not only can you find writing jobs on Reddit, but you also can discover writing prompts, inspiration, knowledge, answers, and so much more.

You can use it to generate blog topic ideas for your blog or your client's content plan. Additionally, you can comment on posts and add links to your website. You will get traffic to your blog.

How does Reddit work for freelance writers?

  • Find the right community.

The first step to getting started on Reddit is to find your ideal freelance writing community.

You can join any subreddit without creating an account with Reddit, but I'd suggest that you create an account complete with a profile picture and bio for the best experience.

  • Be active.

Being active on Reddit means that you need to post content, comment, and upvote others' posts. Now, this can be a tad bit challenging if you are new to the platform.

To post something, you will need positive karma points. Reddit awards karma points depending on how you use the forum.

More karma points help you post more and make your posts on the site visible to many users.

When you post more about the topics you love, users will see you as an authority.

I've been on Reddit for quite a while, and I created an account solely for my freelance writing business.

I've found jobs from the subs that focus on freelance writing jobs.

Below are excellent subreddit communities for freelance writers.

Seventeen subreddits to find freelance writing jobs on Reddit.

#1→r/Hire a Writer

Hire a writer is one of the best subreddit to find writing jobs. It is where writers meet clients and vice versa.

You can post your services or comment and connect with potential clients looking to hire from this page.

I like this page because people can only post jobs with a starting rate of $0.05/word for entry-level projects. You can find decent writing gigs here, even if you are a beginner.

You can use color title tags to make your post stand out whether you are looking for a job or hiring a freelance writer.

This makes it easy for users to understand your posts before clicking open to read more.

#2→r/Freelance Writers

r/Freelance Writers is a subreddit for professional freelance writers to join, contribute and network with other writers.

You can ask questions, learn how to acquire and manage clients, and network with other content marketers.
